We had an amazing experience with Annie at ‘My Fish Kitchen’. She is a lovely host and very welcoming, exactly what you need when you want to learn the essentials of preparing fish. From filleting to assessing quality and trying different cooking techniques, you can truly learn from her immense experience with fish. Besides all the information and hands-on-learning we had great conversations throughout the whole day. The time really flew past. All of this takes place in a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We had a brilliant afternoon spent in Annie's kitchen learning about the wonders of Cornish fish! We were shown how to buy, prep and cook many things including clams, prawns, squid, cuttlefish, hake, herring and more. Annie really knows her stuff and is incredibly welcoming and encouraging. She was even so kind as to pick us up and drop us off, as well as give us a quick tour of the local area! On the back of this, my partner and I went to our local fresh fish shop at the weekend and bought mussels which we prepped and cooked at home - something we would have never done before. Thank you Annie for such a wonderful time.

Annie certainly knows her stuff. She makes you feel very assured in her welcoming, professional & joyful kitchen. Having been bought up since a young age on a fish farm her knowledge of fish is next to none. Her classes are clear, uplifting & totally delicious. Her cooking techniques are fine tuned, with taste & nutrients at the core! We laughed all day, Annie is such a wonderful teacher, chef & genuinely tip top lady! Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic day at the end of July 2023 with Annie at her home learning about fish - how to select, prepare and cook 8 different types of fish. Spent the last few weeks putting it all into practice and enjoying lots of fresh local fish. It was a superb day, relaxed, friendly with lots of fish to sample as you cooked it. Annie encouraged us to try out everything at our own pace until we were competent with our new skills. At the end of the day we were confident to go out source our own fish, fillet if necessary, cook it and try lots of new varieties. Bones and flat fish are no longer dreaded! Would highly recommend Annie and My Fish Kitchen and look forward to visiting again.

Great day and learned a lot. Also ate a lot of fish! Nice that it was a small group as it made for a hands-on almost 1:1 experience. Can't recommend this highly enough and I'll feel more confident buying and prepping local fish than relying on vacuum packed supermarket farmed/imported.

A totally inspiring day! Annie is so full of passion and hugely knowledgeable. She opened my eyes to the incredible abundance we have off the shores in this country and I'm sure has changed my cooking and eating habits for the better for ever. Loved every minute.
