Stunning part of Cornwall Hire a boat and explore the beautiful Helford estuary .....very friendly staff

Amazing….! We found these guys online after hearing they were great and they didn’t disappoint. We ended up renting one of their little boats for an hour which we’d never done before so were somewhat nervous. They were so nice and so professional, very safety conscious and really know their stuff. We had the best time even though the weather wasn’t great so we came back later in the week and took their River Tour on the SeaTruck. What an amazing experience and Mark the skipper was just brilliant, the kids loved it. If you’re looking for something to do it’s an absolute must, thank you Helford River Boats you made our week 🙏

Outstanding. All the members of staff were helpful, friendly and great. Stayed a week on one of their moorings, they launched my boat, ferried me back and forward whenever I needed it and supplied a rowing boat out of hours. Brilliant.

What a set up, tucked away on the beach opposite the popular Ferryboat Inn - they run a ferry crossing over to the Shipwrights Arms, which is a great pub too. You can hire boats, kayaks, rowing boats, top-of the-range paddleboards, all from the kiosk! If you're in the area, pop down there - if you're not in the area, make the detour - it's worth it.

Had a great experience on the boat, hired it for a few hours so we could explore all the branches of the river. Saw herons, swans, cormorants and much more. Really enjoyed this experience and would recommend if you are in the area. Car park is at the top along with steps to descend into the village. The team were very helpful in telling us the best spots and there are maps at the office!! Thanks guys

LAUNCH RAMP. This is the best place on the Helford river to launch your own small boat or dingy. The fee is £10 and the nearby car park is £2 all day. You can see on 'Maps' that the water is close to the road even at low tide. Staff are great

Great experience, great staff, sturdy boats. We hired a power boat for 6 people and could explore the stunning creeks around the area. The boats have a little anchor so we could moor safely in the Frenchman's creek. Called the day before and could book it anyway which is so nice !! 👍 Price are super reasonable: 50 pounds for an hour, and 30 for additional hours.

We had a lovely time on the river, thanks to Helford River Boats. First, we took the ferry with a very knowledgeable skipper on hand to help me with my father (93) who is not as spritely as he once was. We then went back for more later in the week and hired one of their boats - 'Happy' - and spent 2 hours pottering around the estuary either side of high tide. Dad loved taking the helm. Would thoroughly recommend all the team for their professionalism, tip-top gear, and organising the weather perfectly! Many thanks indeed.
