What a glorious garden! Surprises and great views round every corner. This is a must see place if you are in the area. Simply stunning.

Stourhead on a ski-slope. Be prepared for a brisk walk down to the sea and back up. The trip is well worth the walk. Lots of flora and fauna and in the middle is an original 1800s maze. Get down to the village and there is tea, coffee and chocolate awaiting. Throw some skimmers into the sea and head back. The path is steep but manageable even for the more elderly walkers.

Nice gardens, but not much in flower like others gardens I have seen. Some good paths down to the bay,
The maze was tricky but fun.
Good book shop and cafe.

I'm a fern lover and the gardens contain so many of these. The maze is brilliant and more difficult bring based on a hill and fun to solve. The viewing platform also a must. At the bottom of the gardens there is access to durgen village, a small group of cottages , ice cream shop and a small pebbled beach. A lovely place and would highly recommend.

What a surprise this place turned out to be. Stunning gardens meandering down to the river and views out to sea. Many paths to explore with plants that take you to another continent, maybe another time (You almost expect to see a dinosaur munching on the giant ferns!).. The maze centered in the middle of the gardens is a real gem with complete but lower hedges so no cheating but also no claustrophobia!😄 Great little cafe at the top of the gardens provides well earned refreshment.

Beautiful place. Shame the weather was a bit rainy. Still enjoyed this beautiful place. Had fun in a maze, walked down to a beach and climbed up to the maze view point. Had a cream tea in a cafe-watch out for wasps around!

Beautiful gardens very friendly staff and extensive range of plants and trees. The maze is a great attraction providing lots of laughter as people get lost inside. A delightful walk down to the river but a steep climb back up not for the fainthearted.
Restrooms: Excellent facilities
Dog-friendliness: Many dogs
Picnic area: Picnic by the beach

Fantastic walk through various foliage from around the world. The grounds and gardens are well maintained. Be prepared to walk uphill as the gardens go down to grebe beach, resulting in a good walk back up

A lovely garden but with some very steep slopes so wear solid footwear!! Very well laid out, lots of interesting plants and amazing blue hydrangeas everywhere. The maze has been recently restored and looks very lush. (I still managed to get lost though!) The walk through the gardens goes down to the sea, and there is a little area selling ice-creams : very welcome after the long walk down!!

Absolutely amazing, beautiful & stunning! Everything! From the moment you arrive from the clean flush environment you can already see your in for a treat. It has it all. Cafe, food toilets at the start. Friendly staff, to get you on your way. And the moment you actually enter a area. Your surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees and land. Everything is well looked after and maintained. I feel doesn't matter what time of year you go. Its well and truly a nice day out. With many areas and paths to explore. Well recommended.
Restrooms: Clean and tidy
Picnic area: Alot of benches and areas to sit and enjoy views
